Ristorante Pizzeria Alba in Riccione is located at Viale Dante, a lively Shopping Street close to the Beach of Riccione. Already some years ago I had such a good Pizza Margherita there, I simply needed to eat there again. After all these Years, is it still the best Pizza in Riccione?
Ristorante Pizzeria Alba Riccione can be found just a few hundred meters from the Beach, and my Hotel, Hotel Poker in Riccione. The outside sitting area is really nice on chilly evenings and great for people watching, too. There are wooden benches with wooden tables, and tablecloths. As I wanted to avoid big crowds I went there at around 6pm, way earlier than the usual Dinner time for Italians. Italians usually eat between 7 – 9 pm, therefore there were just other Tourists at the Restaurant.
Ristorante Pizzeria Alba Riccione, with several tables in-and outdoors, was about half full but anyway I had to wait quite a while for a waiter to show up at my table. To have a little more than just a Pizza Margherita I ordered a Pizza Verdura. Verdura is italian for vegetables and my Pizza was topped with Zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms and arugula. Even though the crust had some black burned parts most of the Veggies, the Zucchini and Eggplant, were still raw, uncooked and hard. Have you ever tried to eat uncooked Zucchini or Eggplant? Surprisingly the Pizza dough was hard and as well tasteless. So sad, I was really looking forward to eat this in the past very good Pizza again, but ended up with this entirely failed Pizza. It tasted almost like someone did a Pizza for the very first time, and I received the result. And afterwards, again, I had to wait ~20 minutes to finally pay and be able to leave.
All in all, I need to find another Place in Riccione, with the best Pizza in town. The Service was not attentive nor very friendly, the Pizza itself was just not good and the Veggies were still raw.
