If you want to enjoy amazing Pizza for Dinner in Pisa, you should visit Restaurant Bar & Food 62. Situated in a street leading to the famous Leaning Tower, the Restaurant offers inside and outside seating. On an evening at around 8:30 pm we just went around town looking for a Restaurant for dinner. The criteria have been to be authentic Italian food, and it shouldn’t be too pricey. Luckily we soon found Restaurant Bar & Food 62. In the evening they offer a tourist menu for just 12 Euro per person. It definitely doesn’t get better, and touristy Restaurants can definitely be a pleasant experience! Read on for our review of the yummy but cheap dinner in Pisa.
Cheap meal for tourists – Penne and Pizza for Dinner in Pisa at Bar & Food 62
A sign at the outdoor terrace pointed out the restaurant’s tourist offer to us at Bar & food 62. For only 12 euros you get a drink (such as water, soft drinks, beer or wine), as well as an appetiser and a main course. Both the starter and the main course could be chosen. For only 12 euros per person, a 2-course meal including a drink in the heart of Pisa near the Leaning Tower, it really doesn’t get any better than that! And, we did not get disappointed. Not at all, as it turned out the Pizza for Dinner in Pisa has been among the Top 3 of best Pizzas of our whole trip to Italy. And we went to Naples and Rome afterwards! First of all, the following appetisers are offered for the Dinner Menu to choose from: French Fries or Bruschetta.
Now for Pizza you can choose between: Margherita, Napoli, Ham, Mushrooms, Ham and Mushrooms, Salami or Chilli Salami or Ham and Pineapple.
For Pasta you can choose from Lasagne, Penne chilli tomato, gnocchi with tomato sauce, Tagliatelle with meat sauce, Spaghetti with garlic, oil pepper, Penne with pesto sauce or vegetable soup.
And for drinks you can choose one from the following: a glass of wine, coke, fanta or sprite, small draught beer or 0,5L mineral water. Select one of each category and you will only pay 12 Euro including coperto – an italian table service charge.
We went for Bruschetta – which has been so tasty with fresh tomatoes and just the right amount of garlic on still warm toasted bread, and for a Pizza with ham and mushrooms and Penne alla Arrabiata, the noodles with spicy tomato sauce. I was quite sad about my small portion of Pasta, compared to the size of the Pizza, but enjoyed them anyway. As mentioned above, the Pizza by Bar & food 62 in Pisa has just been amazing. Fluffy, thicker edges (neapolitan style), but not as soft as the southern version, and crunchy. Simply perfect. And just 24 Euro for dinner for two people. I can definitely recommend enjoying your cheap tourist dinner at Bar & food 62 near the leaning tower. Simply sit outside and enjoy your time!
